Storage: In a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate. Shelf life is one year. The package may include some small amount of eucalyptus twigs and seeds. Dried leaves are fragile. Eucalyptus tree species store their essential oils in so-called “secretory cavities”, which are spherical strong structures internally contained within the plant’s leaves, fruits, flowers, and bark. The walls of these cavities are very strong, thus essential oil is not released until the plant tissue is damaged. In other words to RELEASE the oil simply crush the whole leaves and enjoy refreshingly clean to moderate strong fragrance of RAGARDEN Eucalyptus Dried Whole Leaves. If you make tea or inhalation bath, please do the same, crush the leaves first to release the essential oil, then simmer them for 10 min on medium heat and enjoy! To maximize the oil content in leaves, we do not harvest our eucalyptus leaves during the wet/rain/monsoon period. Our harvesting periods are twice/year: pre-Monsoon period (May) and post-Monsoon (November).
